The plug-in design simplifies installation and future expansion or troubleshooting since you can unplug the terminal strip without removing each wire individually.
• Optional Local Power Inputs: Features dedicated terminals to connect an auxiliary 12V DC power source and a backup battery at the module. This means if you plan to drive high-current devices on these relays or mount the board far from the main panel, you can power it locally to reduce voltage drop and ensure the relays have ample power. The backup battery terminal lets the expander maintain operation during power failures (just like the main panel) for critical applications.
